All First Year Student / Apprenticeship Grant applications MUST be received by the end of May 2024 for the academic year 23/24 - grants are not issued retrospectively.
First grants will be awarded at the end of September, and then at each meeting until the end of May, so do not worry if you have not got your application in yet
The Trustees are offering grants to more school leavers than ever this year.
A new Application Form A2 is available for all School Leavers - if you are not going to University to study at degree level, but are continuing studies at College, Work e.g Apprenticeship, Diploma, HND etc., there may be a £500 grant for you!
If you start your course in September 2023 please make sure that you have emailed your application to us before the end of May 2024 for it to be considered during your first year. Your application will not be accepted after this time, as we will be offering grants to school leavers 2023 after that time.

If you commence your University Course in September 2023, this is your chance to apply!
Please use our Form A2 to apply for your FIRST YEAR GRANT of £500, before the end of May 2024. Any applications received after this time will unfortunately not be accepted, as we will be making our final payments for first year studies, ready for our new school leavers in September 2023.

In this time of uncertainty, please do not worry if you are not taking your usual exams. All we will require from you is your confirmation letter from the University, UCAS, Apprenticeship organisation for you to receive your grant - whether you are studying at home or away
PLEASE TAKE CARE when completing your application form - make sure that you complete each section required. We have received a large number of forms this year with personal details missing e.g Home address & Post code, Email address, length of time living in Letchworth, Course details and evidence of the course. The processing of grants will be seriously delayed or not given if the form is incomplete and we are unable to confirm our check
